Centennial Park
Home of a full size replica of the Parthenon, Centennial Park has picnic areas, a lake and gardens. It is the site of many official and unofficial celebrations.

Centennial Sportsplex
This complex houses an indoor aquatic center with an Olympic-size 50 meter pool and a recreational pool, a tennis complex with 17 courts, a 2,600-seat stadium, an ice rink and a fitness center.

Greenways Metropolitan Greenways Commission
The Greenways Commission of Metro Parks, established in 1994, has a vision for Nashville. It has a vision of expansive open spaces and pristine natural areas connected by threads of green. It has a vision of people walking, skating, and bicycling along scenic trails that connect parks, schools, businesses, libraries, shopping areas, and neighborhoods. It has a vision that Nashville can be one of a growing number of great cities with great greenway systems. And, this vision is rapidly becoming reality.

Percy Warner Park & Edwin Warner Park

These parks adjoin to create a complex of 2,681 acres of quality natural areas and recreational opportunities. It is one of the largest municipal parks in Tennessee and offers a variety of activities. Included are a nature center, hiking and bridle trails, an equestrian center, picnic and shelter areas, scenic drives, cross country running courses, a model airplane field, athletic fields, and two golf courses.

Shelby Park
Shelby Park contains a community center, playgrounds and 27 holes of golf. Located in the Eastbank area of Nashville.

Steeplechase Course
The Iroquois Steeplechase, built by the Works Progress Administration, is the only racetrack ever built by the Federal Government. The area chosen for the course is a natural bowl which provides excellent views for spectators. With the exception of 1945, the steeplechase race has been held every year since 1941, making it the oldest continuously run steeplechase event in the United States. Held on the second Saturday of May, the event attracts large crowds from all over Middle Tennessee.

Two Rivers Park
Two Rivers Park consists of 12 acres of land on which the 28-room mansion of the McGavock family stands. The estate takes its name from the fact that it lies on a triangular wedge of land at the junction of the Stones River and the Cumberland River.

Warner Park Nature Center
The Warner Park Nature Center, located at the intersection of State Route 100 and Old Hickory Boulevard in Nashville's Edwin Warner Park, has remained the city's foremost provider of environmental education and nature programming for 25 years. In addition to serving as a jump-off point for exploring the 2600 acres of Percy Warner and Edwin Warner Parks, the Nature Center is also a resource for teachers, students and parents who are interested in the study of nature.

Moss Wright Park

147-acre Moss-Wright Park boasts 2.1 miles of walking trails, 1.5 of them lighted. Fields, trees and paths wind along the park's historic Mansker's Creek. Two of the area's most interesting historical sites are included in the park. Mansker's Station reconstructed fortified settlement is considered to be one of the most historically accurate in the nation. The Bowen Plantation House is the region's first brick structure, still standing and open for tours. Also at the park are a large playground, picnic shelters and volleyball court.
