Membership is open to anyone interested in calligraphy.

Primary goals of the group include promoting a positive awareness of East Nasvhille, providing a social and professional support group, and developing new opportunities for art exhibition and sale. Members of Position East and other individual artists develop a theme-based title for an exhibit and agree to create at least one art work related to the theme. Members take responsibility for the production and promotion of the exhibition. The artists work with area realtors using an East Nashville home that is currently on the market and vacant as the exhibit site.
